The floor was slippery, and Jake almost fell into a shallow pool. “Careful!” Mia’s mom warned, grabbing his arm. Deeper in, they found a bat hanging upside down. “Whoa!” Sophie whispered, amazed. But Liam got scared and clung to his dad.
“Stick close,” Emma’s dad said. “A cave is no place to wander off.”

“And we’ll let you come too,” Emma added with a cheeky grin.
